Vital Huber Inc. is the paymaster company of Genesis Systems, Inc. (“Genesis) and was established in 2003 for payroll purposes. Genesis founded in 1987 and based in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, is the country’s largest provider of software to register births in the United States. The company has experienced considerable growth and is in the process of actively expanding its market at the present time, including internationally. Its primary product, WebEBC, record and document over 50 percent of the births that occur each year in United States. The company has contracts with more than twenty three of the individual State Department of Health throughout the country. In addition to birth event software, the company also sells software products to record and process death, marriage and divorce records which are in use in many state and county offices.

Genesis software enables an electronic link between the hospitals and other birth facilities and department of health. The software encrypts all information, providing a secure link between the birth facility and state government. It allows a maternity attendant in a hospital to enter a birth record directly into the hospital’s computer system which then transmits it to the state, where it is processed and used to feed various processes, including the accumulation of birth statistics, demographic data and issuance of Social Security numbers. In addition, the company provides technical support services to more than 2500 hospitals from its Help Desk operation.

The company currently employs approximately 50 employees. In addition to its corporate office in Lewistown, the company also operates a satellite office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
